Who Is The MUSIC Society?
The MUSIC Society is a community driven non-profit based in Victoria, BC.
Our mission is to get instruments into the hands of families with school aged children.

Do you have an unused instrument lying around? Why not turn it into a childs' joy by donating it to a family in need this year?
We gladly accept new, used, and even broken instruments, every piece helps.
When Did This Start?
In 2018, one simple online post changed everything, a free guitar to someone in need. That sparked us to create The Gift of Music and give back to our community. In 2024 we registered as a non-profit and reinvented ourselves as the MUSIC Society.

Having been donated an instrument in my early years I slowly decided to learn to play. The guitar I was given had 4 out of 6 strings and I still thought it was the coolest thing ever.
With some help from a friend, we re-strung the guitar and I learned a really simple “Green Day” introduction, I was hooked.
